Summary: The interns will play a BA role in Data project for doing business requirement understanding, functional testing, data validation, and some admin support. By taking this internship, they will get hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a live data project which will be an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in big data management, data analysis, and data quality assurance within a professional setting
 
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
 
Business Requirements and Data Quality (Primary Focus - ~70% of time) 
• Business Requirement Analysis – communicate with end users to understand business requirements, summarize to Functional Specifications with Data simulation and then deliver the requirement to developers 
• Data Validation: perform systematic checks to reconcile data among source system, business reports, and final reporting dashboards 
• Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining relevant documentations (FS, test cases, etc.) 
Administrative Support (Secondary Focus - ~30% of time) 
• Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing minutes for project-related discussions. 
• Help with project tracking by updating task statuses in tools like Devops; raise and track operations issues via ServiceNow 
• Manage project documentation in Teams folders 
• Support the team with other ad-hoc operational tasks as needed

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor/master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related majors

• Basic understanding of data concepts and databases; familiarity with SQL is a plus

• Better to have experience with data visualization tools like Power BI

• Better to have basic knowledge on finance domain

• Communicational English both in written and oral

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail; proactive, curious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
