Shift 1: Monday - Friday: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Specific Accountabilities:
- Measure and cut material with a mechanical saw
- Ability to identify structural steel and alloy
- Read and understand blueprints and/ or drawings
- Ability to lift and move materials to and from racks to equipment
- Unloading products received and loading finished products for delivery.
- Other assigned work as required
Working Conditions:
- This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must always be adhered to. Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must always be worn where required.
- It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred
- Appropriate credentials and certifications
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Ability to work shift work
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure

- Additionally, Saw Operator will be required to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- (2) years experience as a hem saw operator.
- Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes.
- Ability to work independently in busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in diverse working environments.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Computer literate.
