  • Identify customer needs and create a sales strategy that matches the building, account, and service opportunity.
  • Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives and maintain a healthy proposal backlog.
  • Conduct building surveys to support estimates and develop accurate sales proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, correspondence, expenses, and competitive activity.
  • Submit sales reports on time and keep internal stakeholders informed of pipeline status and customer developments.

How You Will Do It

  • Own your results with accountability, safety, and integrity in every customer interaction and sales decision.
  • Stay close to the customer’s building, priorities, and installed base so you can remove obstacles and present the right service solution.
  • Use marketing strategies, lead follow-up, and disciplined prospecting to create a steady flow of opportunities.
  • Improve every day by listening to customer feedback, reviewing proposal outcomes, and refining your approach with candor and problem-solving.
  • Work as one team with operations and internal partners, sharing information clearly and valuing different perspectives.
  • Use Salesforce to track activity, manage follow-up, and maintain accurate sales reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B sales, account development, or service agreement sales in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to sell technical or facility-related solutions with a clear understanding of customer needs and decision drivers.
  • Knowledge of commercial building systems, ideally including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, or inspections.
  • Ability to conduct building surveys, prepare estimates, and support proposal development.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Demonstrated organization, follow-through, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, manage a proposal backlog, and produce timely sales reports.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.

Nice to Have
