With operations in over 150 countries, we are committed to driving innovation and excellence in building technologies and integrated solutions. Our people are at the heart of our success, and we are passionate about attracting and developing top talent across the globe. We are looking for a Plant Controller.

What will you do?

  • The Plant Controller is a strategic finance leader responsible for the financial performance, control environment, and decision support for a $500M manufacturing plant experiencing continuous growth.

  • This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive profitability, cost discipline, capital efficiency, and operational excellence while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.

  • The Plant Controller acts as both a financial steward and business partner, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that support throughput, margin expansion, and scalable growth.

How will you do it?

Financial Leadership & Business Partnering:

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Plant Manager and operations leadership team.

  • Drive financial strategy to support continuous growth, capacity expansion, and productivity initiatives.

  • Provide clear, actionable insights on cost drivers, margins, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.

  • Lead fact-based decision making for pricing, sourcing, make-vs-buy, and capital allocation.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Forecasting:

  • Own the plant’s annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans.

  • Analyze variances vs. plan and prior periods; recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain robust cost models for products, processes, and new investments.

  • Support scenario modeling for volume growth, mix shifts, and inflationary pressures.

Cost Accounting & Operational Finance:

  • Oversee standard costing, BOM integrity, routing accuracy, and variance analysis.

  • Partner with operations to improve cost structure, scrap reduction, labor utilization, and economics.

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation, reserves, and cycle count discipline.

Plant Performance & KPI Management:

  • Design and maintain financial and operational KPIs aligned to plant objectives.

  • Provide timely dashboards and performance reviews for plant leadership.

  • Link financial outcomes to operational drivers across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Capital Expenditures & Growth Initiatives:

  • Lead capital planning, ROI analysis, and post-investment reviews for growth and modernization projects.

  • Ensure disciplined project governance for major capex tied to capacity expansion or automation.

  • Partner with engineering and operations on financial justification and execution tracking.

Controls, Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

  • Lead monthly close, balance sheet reviews, and management reporting for the plant.

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.

  • Strengthen control processes to scale effectively with growth.

What are we looking for?

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including manufacturing or operations finance.

  • Proven experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations.

  • Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis.

  • Experience in growth environments (capacity expansion, new lines, acquisitions, or complexity increases).

  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills.

  • Strong systems experience (SAP, reporting tools, advanced Excel).

  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Strong business acumen and operational curiosity.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional leaders without direct authority.

  • Clear, confident communication with senior leadership.

  • High integrity with a strong control mindset.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting large manufacturing plants or multi-plant operations.

  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement environments.

  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP or finance transformation initiatives.

What do we offer?

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Supportive and inclusive work environment.

  • Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.

  • Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
