What you will do:
Conducts complex preventive maintenance, repair, replacement, installation and commissioning under minimal supervision. Interfaces directly with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
How you will do it:
Field Service:
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and commissioning of HVAC and refrigeration systems onboard ships and offshore platforms
- Troubleshoot system issues involving mechanical components (e.g., compressors, fans, valves) and electrical controls
- Work on fire protection systems (CO₂, water mist, foam) and detection systems (smoke, heat, flame detectors, alarm panels)
- Perform functional testing, system calibration, and safety verification in accordance with industry standards
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers, helping to expand the maintenance base and enhance client satisfaction.
- Actively identify and promote additional services, parts, and products during field operations. Report any potential business opportunities to the relevant office personnel through service reports.
Drawings & Documentation:
- Interpret and work from mechanical drawings such as P&IDs, exploded view diagrams, and equipment layouts
- Read and understand electrical drawings, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and termination layouts
- Apply technical documentation to carry out fault-finding and ensure systems are installed and operating correctly
- Prepare detailed service reports and technical documentation following field assignments
Field Assignments & Travel:
- Participate in local and international service jobs on vessels, offshore facilities, and in shipyards
- Work safely in varied and challenging environments, including offshore and confined space conditions
- Collaborate with senior engineers during initial assignments, with progression toward independent work
Learning & Development:
- Undergo a blend of online training and OJT in HVAC&R systems, fire detection systems and marine safety protocols
- Receive mentorship to build your confidence and problem-solving ability in real-world conditions
- Develop field experience with increasing autonomy and opportunity for technical specialization
- Adhere to the highest safety standards at all job sites, ensuring the protection of JCI staff and all other personnel involved.
- Perform any additional duties as required, whether scheduled or ad-hoc.
What we look for:
Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Marine Engineering
Strong Fundamental in Engineering
A valid driving license
