We are seeking a Site Superintendent / Foreman with our team supporting the Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota. Our dedicated team here is primarily responsible for the commercial HVAC mechanical, HVAC controls, and Fire Alarm Systems across the base.

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000. Negotiable based on experience.
Company vehicle: Yes

Location: Minot Air Force Base

Vacation:
3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year.

Travel Required: Limited; all work is based at this location

 

As a Site Superintendent, you will:

  • Supervise the field construction process of assigned projects, primarily related to the installation of commercial HVAC Mechanical equipment, HVAC controls, and Fire Alarm Systems across the base, in accordance with the plans and specifications, to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer
  • Supervise, inspect, review, record, and report on all site construction-related activity, ensuring that the assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule. May supervise one or more projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee the construction/installation requirements of the assigned projects (in conjunction with Project Manager).
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities.
  • Assist Project Manager in the development of Quality Control plans.
  • Compile Operations and maintenance documents and assemble into operation and maintenance submittals.
  • Assist in the creation of as-built documentation.
  • Assist with quality control functions per contract (COE) requirements (submittal reviews, daily reports, preparatory meetings and other quality control program features) to ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Enforce, facilitate and follow Company and contract safety requirements. Assist the SSHO with company standard practices and per contract (COE) requirement if required per the position.
  • Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress of work with schedule updates (in conjunction with Project Manager)
  • Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with client.
  • Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other groups.
  • Is the primary management team member on the site on a day-to-day basis to identify and correct issues or deficiencies and/or escalate issues and deficiencies up the management chain to Project Manager and/or regional management.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Project coordination and supervision of construction projects in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry, preferably with HVAC, Fire Alarm Systems, MEP equipment, or similar systems and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for employee supervision and client interface.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic Windows environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain on-site badging requests required for assigned projects (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with commercial Fire Alarm or mechanical HVAC installations
  • Experience working with Federal government or military projects

 

Preferred Education

 

  • Associates Degree or Technical Schooling in HVAC, electrical, electronics, or mechanical systems, or equivalent work experience
  • OSHA 30
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors
  • First-Aid/CPR certification
