Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Service (IBMS) to lead service operations for Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS). The incumbent will be responsible for managing service delivery, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, customer relationships, technical support, team management, and ensuring high system uptime across client sites.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end service operations for IBMS/BMS installations across multiple customer locations.
Lead a team of service engineers and technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) obligations.
Support commissioning, upgrades, and system modifications as required.
Analyze system faults and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Review service reports, maintenance schedules, and customer compliance documentation.
Coordinate with project, sales, and technical teams for smooth service delivery.
Monitor customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.
Ensure adherence to SLAs, safety standards, and operational KPIs.
Identify opportunities for service revenue, AMC renewals, and modernization projects.
Conduct technical training and mentoring for service engineers.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for replacements and repairs.
Key Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
6–10 years of experience in Building Automation, IBMS, BMS, or Building Technologies.
Hands-on experience with systems such as:
Honeywell
Siemens
Schneider Electric
Johnson Controls
Delta Controls
Tridium/Niagara
Strong knowledge of:
HVAC Controls
Fire Alarm Systems
Access Control Systems
CCTV Surveillance
Energy Monitoring Systems
DDC Controllers
PLCs and VFDs
Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks, and TCP/IP.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
Strong leadership, customer management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling large commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, airports, or industrial facilities.
Exposure to AMC management and service business operations.
Relevant certifications in BMS/IBMS, HVAC Controls, or Building Automation Systems.
