Job Description: Junior Security Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Security Analyst to support our Offensive Security team in managing and coordinating penetration testing activities. This role is ideal for someone with foundational cybersecurity knowledge and strong organizational skills. The analyst will act as a project coordinator, ensuring that all testing activities are tracked, scheduled, and communicated effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeping track of all new penetration testing requests on the JIRA board
  • Tracking all ongoing tests on a weekly basis with the entire team
  • Maintaining the yearly penetration test schedule
  • Engaging with the product teams to ensure the availability of the product test environment and test data
  • Tracking and maintaining the monthly operating metrics (MOR)
  • Keeping track of all 'Critical' and 'High' severity findings across all penetration tests and engaging with the product teams to ensure they are closed within prescribed SLAs
  • Maintaining and updating the vulnerability status of all the penetration test findings in Plextrac and ArmorCode

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS)
  • Experience or familiarity with JIRA or similar project tracking tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or academic project experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
  • Exposure to penetration testing methodologies (e.g., OWASP Top 10, PTES)
  • Should have good Power Bi skills
