What you will do 

  • Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the warehouse and loading dock for all employees.
  • Keeps buildings and premises clean at all times.
  • Keeps warehouse floor in a clean condition.
  • Able to follow the written work schedule of the position.
  • Must be flexible to the hours set by the Service Manager for seasonal operations and holidays.  Special projects may also require alternate work schedules.
  • Able to read and follow written or verbal instructions for receiving and shipping of equipment and tools.
  • Must wear proper footwear, gloves, eyewear or other PPE as job duties require.
  • Maintains proper appearance and personal hygiene as he/she may have contact with clients, management and co-workers.
  • Communicates effectively with all JCI, managers, technicians, staff and visitors. 
  • Communicates daily with Service Manager, Foreman and Service Techs as required.
  • Monitors and/or maintains all building equipment, keeping logs of repairs.
  • Operates and maintains tool crib; maintains hand, power and portable tools.
  • Maintains computerized records, inventory controls and reports detailing where all of the maintenance tools are allocated.
  • Manage and control all Warehouse deliveries through use of requisitions and logs.
  • Manage and file all warehouse paperwork
  • Maintains rotating tool stock for all non-permanent assigned tools.
  • Prepares documentations for the receipt, storage or delivery of various items as applicable
  • Schedules and transports requested tools and materials to and from various building sites.
  • Coordinates the delivery of supplies which are not carried in the tool crib to employees.
  • Orders new and replacement tools for team with Service Manager Approval.
  • Communicated effectively with all JCI personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for
required

  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment used in Mechanical Contracting and Service Work such as rigging tools, pipe, fittings, welding equipment, ladders and general “Tools of the Trade”.
  • Ability to climb ladders and /or use man lifts to heights of 24’.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Function Specific Experience: 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Forklift Certification – JCI will provide Certification Training
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Self-starter needed that can work with minimum supervision.
  • Pass criminal background check and drug test.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred

  • Prior warehouse experience


HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.00-35.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
