Business Development Manager – Fire Suppression (FSP), ANZ

What You Will Do

Reporting to the ANZ Territory Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving growth across the Fire Suppression product portfolio in the ANZ region. Based in Australia or New Zealand, you will be part of a high-performing and expanding team focused on delivering innovative fire protection solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities to drive revenue and improve profitability across ANZ

  • Building strong, consultative relationships with consultants, end-users, OEMs, insurers, and other specifiers to ensure product specification

  • Collaborating with regional sales teams to identify total solution opportunities and support new product introductions

  • Delivering high-quality technical presentations and live product demonstrations, while recommending tailored solutions for customer projects

How You Will Do It

Leveraging your technical expertise in water-based and/or special hazards fire protection systems, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Services, and Training teams. You will provide valuable market insights, including pricing trends, competitive activity, and customer needs.

You will also:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on long-term retention and growth

  • Identify new markets, customer segments, partnerships, and innovative routes to market

  • Think strategically to set clear objectives and contribute to business growth initiatives

  • Drive synergies across business units, including cross-selling and operational efficiencies

  • Deliver technical training and seminars to consultants, engineers, architects, AHJs, OEMs, and key accounts

  • Align closely with Sales teams to maximise conversion of pipeline opportunities

  • Participate in strategic planning with regional and global leadership teams

  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to generate leads and strengthen market presence

What We Look For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales or business development within fire protection systems

  • Proven ability to secure product specifications with consultants and installers

  • Strong experience in strategic planning, market development, and market research

  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence key decision-makers

  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and proactive mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexibility to travel extensively across the ANZ region

Desirable:

  • Experience with Salesforce.com and SAP
