Job Description

Project Manager

Silent‑Aire | Johnson Controls

What You Will Do

This is a high‑impact opportunity to join Silent‑Aire, part of Johnson Controls, as a Project Manager delivering complex, mission‑critical HVAC solutions for global customers.

As Project Manager, you will have full ownership of project delivery, taking responsibility for quality, schedule, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction from post‑sales handover through commissioning and final client close‑out.

You will operate at the centre of the organisation, leading cross‑functional teams and site operations to ensure projects are executed with discipline, clarity, and strong stakeholder alignment—consistently delivering a best‑in‑class product and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of project delivery across the complete project lifecycle, from post‑sales handover through commissioning and final client handover
  • Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams including Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, Mission Critical, and Site teams
  • Own project financial performance, with full accountability for budgets, cost control, and gross margin delivery
  • Develop and maintain robust project pricing and execution plans, clearly defining scope, assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, timelines, risks, and cost boundaries
  • Partner closely with Client Account Management during pre‑sales activities to support accurate project costing, risk assessment, and execution planning
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including milestones, sequencing, dependencies, and target versus actual delivery tracking
  • Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to continuously improve project execution methods, driving efficiency, quality, and standardisation
  • Support the rollout and adoption of Autodesk Construction Cloud and other digital project delivery tools, contributing to process improvement and consistent ways of working
  • Maintain strong, day‑to‑day engagement with site teams, ensuring clear visibility of risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and mitigation actions
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, setting clear expectations around safety culture, risk management, reporting, and training in partnership with Health & Safety
  • Manage, coach, and develop Project Engineer(s) as required, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high‑performance project culture
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Project Managers and senior stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with business strategy and operational priorities.

What We Look For

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects in commercial, data centre, high‑tech, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing high‑value projects within construction, M&E, civil, or comparable technical industries
  • Strong track record of leading multi‑disciplinary teams and subcontractors, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • High level of commercial awareness, with experience managing costs, margins, scope, and risk
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and decision‑making capability

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package
  • 23 days’ annual leave plus all bank holidays, with paid sick leave
  • Comprehensive benefits including matched pension contribution, private medical insurance, life assurance, employee assistance programme, and referral schemes
  • Extensive on‑the‑job and cross‑training opportunities, supported by industry‑leading tools and expertise
  • A collaborative, supportive, and high‑performance working environment
  • Access to Business Resource Groups and inclusion initiatives
  • Clear focus on long‑term career development within Johnson Controls and the wider Silent‑Aire organisation

Why Join Silent‑Aire?

At Silent‑Aire, you will work on industry‑leading, mission‑critical infrastructure projects that support global data‑centre and high‑technology customers. You will be empowered to lead, influence, and make a measurable impact—while building a long‑term career within a global organisation that values technical excellence, innovation, accountability, and people.
