Key responsibilities

  • Install fire sprinkler pipework systems within large industrial environments
  • Install plant equipment including fire pumps, valves and pumphouse pipework
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on systems such as fire pumps and sprinkler alarm valves
  • Install and repair carbon steel, ductile iron and PVC pipework
  • Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues efficiently
  • Promote and maintain high health and safety standards on site
  • Deliver high-quality service while working closely with construction and project teams

Required

  • Previous experience working on construction sites
  • Qualification in fitting, plumbing, fabrication or a related trade
  • Strong understanding of pipework systems, components and assembly
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and how they operate
  • Experience working to safety standards on large-scale construction sites

Desirable

  • Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height and MEWP certifications
  • Basic computer skills for online site inductions
  • Experience with pipework threading and grooving
  • Strong communication skills with a reliable, organised approach to work
