Job Description

What will you do?

This Country HR role provides coaching to managers and employees; and is key to the execution of value-added services of the HR function in partnership with business and HRBP; and supported by HRSSC/COE to drive employee engagement, talent management, organization effectiveness and business growth.

How will you do it?

  • Partner with business leaders in driving delivery of the people strategy and agenda to enable the business growth aspirations

  • Manage country/market organization and individual matters with high complexity and external reputation risks

  • Advise management on contract negotiations and similar management-union relations; manage dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees or government agencies, etc.

  • Leads investigation activities, advise, and implement on remediation actions where applicable

  • Lead/Participate in HR projects to drive continuous improvement and relevancy

  • Handle implementation of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring events as needed

  • Partner within HR Shared Services and COE to support the standardization and continuous process improvement effort

  • Identify workforce and hiring plans necessary to drive recruitment - develop strategies for recruiting top caliber employees, in partnership with Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with leaders to assess current talent and develop long term talent strategies that establish required competencies and skill levels which ultimately improves the performance of the organization

  • Stay up to date on local employment laws and company policies. Shares “need to know “information (Outside in) with managers/HR colleagues to help improve effectiveness of HR activities and to avoid escalations

  • Provide work direction and coach junior HR Generalists within the organization as needed

What we look for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or possesses HR professional certification with relevant experience

  • Minimum 12 years of HR related experience, with Organization Effectiveness/Development and Industrial Relations (union management) exposure is preferred

  • Someone who can work with ambiguity and agile to adapt to volatile environment

  • Someone who can diagnose and analyses huge data to conceptualize problem statements and collaborate with/influence relevant stakeholders for effective resolution

  • Someone who has high level of achievement and positive energy to navigate challenges/roadblock to deliver tasks assigned

  • Someone who is resourceful in researching policies and best practices to resolve HR issues/challenges

  • Someone who is a team player with curiosity to learn, who willingly shares knowledge with others to enable high performance as a team
