We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist II.

 

What will you do?

  • Support the development, management, and assessment of suppliers to ensure their capabilities align with company standards.
  • Analyze the supplier database to evaluate quality, reliability, and price competitiveness of suppliers.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of department metrics and scorecards for supplier performance evaluation.
  • Manage or support the management of commodity life cycles to optimize procurement processes.
  • Support negotiation and award of contracts within specified spending limits, ensuring compliance with company policies.

How will you do it?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier capabilities with organizational needs.
  • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain clear communication with suppliers to foster strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Implement and monitor supplier scorecards to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in procurement processes and supplier management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
