Project Engineer

The Role
This Project Engineer role sits within the Projects Team of our Silent‑Aire business and is primarily based at our West Dublin offices, with involvement across global project sites.
You will support the successful delivery of complex projects, working closely with Project Managers, internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable for:
- Supporting Project Managers with end-to-end project execution across multiple global sites
- Coordinating project deliverables across Engineering, Manufacturing, and QA/QC functions
- Chairing and contributing to meetings including site coordination, RAID reviews, and lessons learned
- Supporting quality activities, including reporting and close collaboration with the Quality team
- Liaising with clients, general contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site queries and requirements
You will share responsibility for:
- Supporting procurement activities, including supplier selection where required
- Managing supplier relations and coordination activities
- Driving continuous improvement across project delivery processes
- Mentoring and supporting team members, promoting knowledge sharing and engagement
- Implementing checks and balances to minimise errors and capture lessons learned
How You Will Do It
- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and execution activities
- Managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Communicating effectively with client and contractor teams on site, escalating risks or issues when required
- Producing clear, concise, and accurate reports for the management team
- Maintaining strong commercial awareness, ensuring project costs are controlled and aligned with approved budgets
- Translating client requirements into practical plans and timelines for site teams
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve installation and commissioning processes while maintaining high product and service quality
- Monitoring and accurately recording delays, risks, or site issues that may have commercial or programme impacts
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Degree-qualified in an engineering-related discipline
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of customer expectations and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve results
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Full clean driving licence and passport
Desirable
- Experience within the data centre industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs and electrical diagrams
- Experience using project management software tools
- Demonstrated ability to build team morale and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
