Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Create Investment Project Proposals (IPP) for the purchase of new equipment and facility improvements, including calculating costs and justifying purchases by assessing savings and efficiency.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Resolves deviation reports concerning product or material issues with plant personnel, including maintenance personnel, to direct equipment adjustments.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Distributes product/part drawings to appropriate plant personnel.
Review maintenance activities to coordinate the preventive maintenance and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

What we look for:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university.
Two (2) + years of Manufacturing Industry Experience.
Knowledge and experience of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
Experience in AutoCAD, designing fixtures and layout improvements.
Required knowledge of MS Office products: Office, Excel.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and a proven track record with application.
Experience with MS PowerPoint and MS Access is a plus.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
