How you will do it
Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections
Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection
Professionally represent the company at all times
Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices, such as laptop computers, smartphones, and/or hardcopy
Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule
Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
Complete assigned inspections on time
Perform other duties as directed
Assist foreman in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems
Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program, maintaining all requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards
Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
What we look for
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Ability to obtain NICET I certification within 8 months of hire.
Ability to obtain NICET II certification within 24 months of hire.
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
Able and willing to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Able and willing to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
Willing and able to travel out of town.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Must always adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred
NICET I certification, completed
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $15 - $19 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
