🛠️ What You’ll Do
As a Brazer I, you’ll play a key role in our production team, performing precision brazing and welding tasks—primarily with copper—to build high-quality components. You’ll follow detailed instructions and safety protocols to ensure every product meets our high standards.
Your Day-to-Day:
- 🔥 Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals.
- 📘 Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders.
- ✅ Conduct first article inspections and report any defects or issues.
- 🧼 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- 🤝 Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments.
- 💡 Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving.
- 💻 Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory.
- 🔄 Be flexible—train across different areas and support other shifts as needed.
🧠 What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience (6+ months).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
- Must complete JCI Brazer training within 30 days of hire.
🏋️ Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Work in a noisy, dusty, non-climate-controlled environment.
- Lift up to 30 lbs regularly, 40 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
- Operate cranes, trucks, and other machinery.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces.
