Content Marketing Manager, Latin America

Location: Johnson Controls, Colombia

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join us in the Latin America region. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in B2B marketing, with a strong understanding of regional business and cultural nuances.

This role involves developing and executing strategic marketing content initiatives, ensuring that content and strategies are tailored to meet regional needs.

What you will do:

  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaign content for each line of business in Latin America, including direct & indirect business. The position also involves establishing direct relations with PR and advertising agencies to align business and market needs within a 360-degree communication strategy.
  • Create content that inspires action. This includes calls to action, texts that generate interaction and sales, and communicating complex ideas in an accessible way. Avoid ambiguity and unnecessarily complicated language.
  • Develop materials and deployment plans and prioritize. including creation, copy, and design through agencies.
  • Distribute messages and materials strategically to each stakeholder, including, media, salespeople, the marketing team (for social media development), and the corporate team.
  • Work closely with designers, writers, SEO specialists, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and high-quality campaigns.
  • Integrate SEO best practices into content and analyze engagement metrics to improve performance.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and tone across all content platforms, business, customer and channels.
  • Understand target audiences and tailor content strategies to resonate with different segments.
  • Share best practices between the corporate product team and other regions to adapt to our markets.
  • Build relationships and execute with public relations and advertising agencies to find the most appropriate way to promote our solutions, depending on the market, solution, vertical, and country.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing and external communications and advertising specifically in experience in marketing the B2B or technology industries.
  • Skilled in organizing tasks, managing timelines, and overseeing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Understanding keyword strategies, content optimization, and interpreting performance data to refine future content.
  • Effective communication and coordination with designers, marketing teams, and external agencies.
  • Deep knowledge of target demographics and tailoring messaging to different market segments—especially important in regional roles like those tied to Latin America.
  • Generate fresh, engaging content concepts and innovative approaches to storytelling.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (like WordPress), marketing tools (such as HubSpot, Eloqua), and intermediate design (like Canva or Adobe tools).
  • Advanced level of English and In Latin America contexts, writing fluently in more than one language allows you to reach wider audiences and adapt content with cultural sensitivity.
