Job Description

What you will do

Service Engineer will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and work from our Dubai office. As a vital member of the Security Systems Aftermarket team, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on Security Systems. You'll collaborate with the Service & Maintenance team in the design and execution of projects, providing a dynamic environment to grow your technical and project management skills.

How you will do it

Utilizing your strong technical knowledge of Security Systems, you will conduct site surveys and prepare comprehensive dilapidation reports, inspecting all security components while recommending system enhancements, upgrades, and replacements as needed. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering efficient and cost-effective Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, ANPR, Facial Recognition, Intercom, Barriers) as per service agreements.
  • Planning, coordinating, and supervising daily activities and resources outlined in the contract agreement.
  • Working closely with head office support departments to obtain timely assistance.
  • Providing technical advice and assistance based on field observations and maintenance needs.
  • Implementing consistent work methods and procedures while suggesting improvements.
  • Advising on the availability of materials and tools necessary for smooth execution of activities.
  • Preparing and reviewing performance reports, including Preliminary Failure and Root Cause Analysis, while monitoring PM program effectiveness and recommending necessary changes.
  • Executing projects with a strong focus on quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, liaising with the Company Quality & HSE manager on all aspects of quality and safety.
  • Ensuring that work progresses as planned and complies with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Submitting reports according to the agreed scope of services for planned and completed work.

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting various Security Systems.
  • Experience in handling reports and communications concisely.
  • Expertise in servicing and maintaining Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Gate Barriers, Intrusion Systems, etc.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications related to installation activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality professional documents for clients and internal use.
  • Understanding of contractual documents/obligations and preparation of official communications with clients/vendors.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
