RFID Business Development Manager EMEA - Sensormatic

What you will do

Reporting to the Market Development Director EMEA – Digital Solutions, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven RFID Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in expanding our RFID – Inventory Intelligence, Smart Exits and Shrink Analyzer propositions for Retail Business.

As an experienced RFID individual, you will support the Sales teams in EMEA providing technical expertise regarding our Inventory Intelligence, Smart Exits and Shrink Analyzer solutions and assisting the Sales teams to secure business with new potential customers, while developing new solution use cases with our existing customers.

You will deliver our value proposition in RFID, to help drive efficiencies and increased revenue. The successful candidate will build relationships with customers and partners in creating effective business solutions for both pilot and rollout programs.

The role spans the data, application and technology domains and work alongside our Sales teams in close collaboration with Professional Services, Solutions Management and Operations to successfully deliver our solutions to our customers.

How you will do it

  • Solution Design: Assist the design of solutions in close collaboration with customer and internal stakeholders covering data, application and technology domains. This design activity will encompass network, infrastructure and integration of both hardware and software systems. As required you will document software enhancements and work with a software architect in order to ensure that the implementation meets the design.
  • Technical Pre-Sales: Play a key role during pre-sales phase of opportunities, working in collaboration with other team members to formulate responses to RFIs and RFPs in a competitive environment. You will develop and present technical material to a diverse set of IT and business stakeholders. You will work on translating business issues into technical requirements.
  • Sales Support and Collateral Development: Contribute to the overall direction and capabilities of the Sales team by producing and enhancing collateral. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, and assist in expanding Use Cases and new opportunities. Present solutions across the entire digital solutions portfolio, while establishing and articulating innovations and growth opportunities. Differentiate Sensormatic’s offering from the competition and understand the technology behind competitors' products and how they are implemented.
  • Implementation: During the implementation phase of a project you will play an advisory role within the project team, ensuring that the implemented solution is developed in compliance with the design. You will provide support as required in relation to any integration activities to both customers and third-party solution providers.
  • Special Projects: Manage special projects with the Digital Sales team which may consist of projects such as definition and deployment of TrueVUE solution, assist in managing partnerships and market relationships with existing and new go to market partners.
  • Innovation and Improvement Activities: Periodically you will have the opportunity to carry out innovation activities to design and develop new solutions often in collaboration with other vendors. As well as manage a record of lessons learned, to improve in possible future designs of our solutions.
  • Contribution to Product Roadmap: You will consolidate customer requests for product enhancements and feed these back to the product management team in order to influence the strategic roadmap of our solutions • Analysis of new product launch, validation, implementation, and training of teams in product deployments.

What we look for

Technical Degree/ Similar experience in Retail/RFID Roles

5+ years of experience in a customer facing sales (commercial and technical) role

Fluent English Language Proficiency. (Any other European Languages will be a plus – i.e. German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.)

Availability to travel up as required, for both internal and customer facing activities

CRM Pipeline Management Desirable technical competences and knowledge (but not needed):

Web Services: SOAP, REST, XML

Software Development: Experience with one major Object Oriented language (Preferably Java or .NET)

Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux

Winner and thinking outside the box mindset

Proven track record in business development, sales, or solution consulting within RFID, IoT, or digital supply chain technologies

Strong understanding of RFID technologies, standards, and ecosystem players

Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence decision-makers across multiple levels

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Willingness to travel across the EMEA region (~30%).
