What you will do?
Under the general direction of the Lean Manufacturing Engineering Manager, utilize our people talents to produce at the pace of customer demand using optimal resources achieving lowest cost with Six Sigma quality across the entire Value Stream. Encourage JCI employees for a continuous improvement culture.
How you will do ?
Follow JCMS as our business best practices guideline.
Lead cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost.
Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping) Applies DMAIC methodology and Lean tools to lead and/or implement improvement project at all type of processes.
Collaborate with C.I. Manager to assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.
Support all C.I. initiatives, including best practice implementation
Coach team members in understanding Lean and/or Six Sigma principles. Collaborate with C.I. Manager to improve KPIs, including those in the 4 panels charts by implementing Lean-Six Sigma
Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant C.I. Roadmap, bridging business metrics gaps with either: 1. Just Do It improvements, or 2. Lean Implementation projects.
Use manufacturing or industrial engineering knowledge to create the data basis necessary to understand the current state and implement improvements. Accountable to impact on operational cost using standard tracking (CI TRAC) and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals.
Provides basic Lean training to project team members.
Reports on project progress to Champion and other appropriate leadership levels at least on a monthly basis.
Participate in Risk Assessments Participate in EHS suggestions program Participate in EHS obsevations program.
What are we looking for?
Professional degree, preferably in manufacturing or industrial engineering. Has a solid understanding of lean principles and project management.
Certification as a Lean Implementer in JCMS; preferred certification as Green Belt.
Possesses basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
Prefered experience in SPC and General Manufacturing Proceses..
Desirable to be computer literate and proficient in the use and application of programs such as: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Needs to have English language proficiency.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills. Highly effective leadership and program management skills, able to manage both vertifically and horizontally.
Within the organization, consistently achieves “Excellent” overall ratings in annual CID reviews. Exceptions to these criteria must be reviewed by the General Manager
