Data & Analytics CoE is a diverse team of technology enthusiast enabling our global business. JCI has embarked on a Data strategy that focuses on establishing strong technology CoE, enterprise data management & cloud-based business solutions.

Platform Manager is an integral part of Data Analytics team. This role will be based out of US, reporting into Data & Analytics Operations Lead.  They will be responsible for maintaining the solution architecture for applications utilizing Snowflake, Azure and related data tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of solution design and implementation details and will successfully represent the technical team to senior leadership, customers and partners. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions. Platform Engineer is an integral part of Data Analytics team, reporting into Data & Analytics Platform Lead. Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the design, development, implementation and operations of MS Azure solutions. You will play a critical role in running and optimizing cloud applications with a strong emphasis on security, compliance, risk remediation, disaster recovery, and infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Azure expertise and a passion for automation, helping to streamline operations and eliminate manual processes for efficient, scalable cloud solutions.

How you will do it

• Helping design and build the next generation of the platform, enhancing performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Engineering platform components and services that support infrastructure at scale.

• Driving automation, observability, and resilience into the platform.

• Working in a collaborative team environment with cutting-edge technologies.

• Solution new Cloud approaches to events that surface to improve the operations of Cloud Infrastructure

• Installation and configuration of application components of solutions

• Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues related to application and server performance

• Manage all scheduled maintenance across all services, in support of service level agreements

• Validation and support of disaster recovery plan for all server and application

• Proactive application monitoring and trouble resolution

• Proactive application monitoring, trouble resolution and Support production environments

• Develop and maintain automation and deployment processes to enable and improve developer experience and efficiency.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Generate and analyze performance reports and recommend improvements.

• Document incidents and resolutions to improve the knowledge base and future response.

• Submission of change control for all scheduled maintenance

• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the platform is performing at its best and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure their applications are optimized for deployment in all environment and meet security and compliance needs.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar.

• 8 plus years of experience with Platform Administration, at least 5 years with Bigdata and Cloud technologies.

• Minimum of 2 years with implementation and operational support of Snowflake platform or with its complementary technologies:  Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Data Warehouse (SQLDW), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Blob Storage, SQL Database, Apache Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics

• Proficiency with Azure cloud services and management.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.

• Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.

• Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
