Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions

This role will be based out of Nisku. They'll operate in a fast-paced team environment.
The candidates must have a reliable transportation or own vehicle to commute to work.
Currently we offer Rotating Day Shift (rotational 6AM to 6PM)

Roles & Responsibilities

You will operate sealing equipment or use filler to fill holes, dents, and seams on metal structures.
File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting.
Mix, blend, and match paint colors.
Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns.
Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.
Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.
Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset.
Previous experience working with sheet metal is an asset.
Previous autobody prep experience is an asset.
Ability to work independently.
This role operates in a busy team environment - strong English is required for safety and performance reasons. The candidates must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset.
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds.
Must be able to distinguish colours.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing/Industrial environment, indoors.
Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Long periods of standing.
Overtime as required.
