What you will do


You will be responsible for procuring materials and products in accordance with the company's standards and procedures. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support operational requirements.

How you will do it

  • Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks in a timely manner.

  • Place purchase orders and expedite delivery of materials to assure receipt in accordance with production program requirements.

  • Review open requirements through the Follow Up or Open Order Report and expediting or defer when necessary.

  • Monitor vendor performance trough the OTD and assures proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development.

  • Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortages.

  • Provide  forecast to the specify vendors according to schedule.

  • Update purchasing parameters to ensure material availability and optimum stock levels.

  • Implement Material related Projects.

  • Resolve discrepancy problems in a timely manner.

What we look for

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • 3 Years suggested minimum experience, in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and understand MRP reports, stock status reports, material variance reports, and customer order shortage report

  • Knowledge in running queries on the AS/400 or equivalent database

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.

  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
