Job Description

What you will do

Johnson Controls is hiring in our IT department based in Glendale, WI! The Field IT Support Specialist provides a variety of information technology support services including but not limited to connectivity, hardware/software support, and overall Field IT incident & service request resolution. The role also provides support & delivery of Enterprise and Business Unit projects and initiatives. Candidates must be US citizens, as well as commuting distance to the Glendale, WI, office.

How you will do it

  • Hardware installation and support; PCs, tablets, mobility devices, printers, specialized devices

  • Software support

  • Manufacturing and Distribution site support- Handheld scanners, conveyor systems, Barcode printer, Production floor machine connectivity, Open Blue.

  • Virtual Tech Hut/ Live Agent Services

  • End-point vulnerability remediation/Assist compliance teams with audit tasks

  • PC Lifecycle Management incl, Asset mgmt. tasks

  • Local infrastructure service support (Server, network and VOIP)

  • On-site Smart Hands (support and liaison with 3rd party & internal JCI Support teams)

  • Local Mobile Administration

  • IT procurement

  • Access management (network share)

  • Local IT security compliance (comms room set-up, maintenance & access)

  • Satellite office support (including local travel)

  • Vendor management

  • Data Center support- Tape changes/offsite mgmt, Vendor Escort, Rack and stack

  • Local File/Print Server management

  • Network Troubleshooting

  • Handheld/Label Printer management

  • Client-side Application support

How you will do it

  • Delivers Field IT Services in accordance with SLA’s using JCI Service Management toolset

  • Proactive customer communication and focus

  • Strong written and verbal communication

Required

  • 3 years’ experience in a Corporate IT environment

  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a Technical field

Preferred

  • Previous Corporate IT Support Experience
