What you will do

· Lead and manage the Johnson Controls (JCI) Marinette distribution center, specifically for the FSP/ Special Haz product business units

· Foster a performance-based culture with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and on time delivery

· Collaborate with peers in Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Quality to develop and implement effective solutions and processes

· Ensure operational excellence through the execution of perfect shipments, stable inventory levels, and optimal efficiency

· Manage the inventory control team, both in manufacturing and at the distribution center, ensuring that the JCI cycle counting policy is adhered too

How you will do it

· Management

o Provide leadership and strategic direction to cycle counting teams in both the distribution center and manufacturing, as well as to the distribution center associates.

o Ensure that all distribution activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations

o Directly influence business profitability and enhance customer satisfaction through effective warehouse management

· Operations

o Oversee the development and management of inbound, outbound, returns, and value-added services to achieve high levels of on-time performance and quality

o Collaborate across multiple functions to understand customer requirements and lead change management initiatives

o Provide insightful analysis and understanding of customer needs to inform operational decisions

o Identify and assess changes in customer requirements to drive continuous improvement

o Develop and track meaningful performance metrics to evaluate operational success for the Distribution and Inventory Control teams

· Project Management

o Lead the implementation of Lean Management methodologies to improve operational processes

o Identify opportunities for Continuous Process Improvement, conduct Kaizen events, and spearhead Six Sigma initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity

What we look for

o Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a successful track record in distribution and logistics operations

o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making

o Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable

o Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred

o A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse environment, including experience in managing budgets and financial performance
