What you will do

The Area Sales Manager role is a key role reporting to Territory Sales Director, Middle East & Africa. You will be part of Fire Suppression team to improve Tyco’s market position, achieve financial growth, define long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities and find potential new customers in Saudi Arabian region.

You will be based in either Riyadh or Jeddah focused on existing distributor channels, opening new accounts and develop strategic plan to increase their sales volume. You will be operating in Indirect Products Distribution through channel partners by collaborate with sales team, contractors, consultants and customers to promote business growth and increase sales opportunities to maximize the revenue. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to deliver our business objectives for our Middle East and Africa region.

How you will do it

As an Area Sales Manager you will use your in-depth technical expertise in Fire Suppression products to generate new channel accounts, forecast and develop annual sales plan, explore market opportunities, develop & implement strategies to maximize the margins while increasing market share. You will focus to build competitive product strategies, relationships with the key partners, customers, support sales activities and follow up new business opportunities with channel partners.

As primarily a compliance, project business 50% of your time should be expected to be driving demand creation working with engineering influencers, AHJ’s and End Users/Owners requiring.

  • Strategic thinking to align technical benefits with business outcomes.

You will also prepare frequent reports by collecting quantitative information to analyzing market trends, competitive matrix, products gap vs market demands, sales growth, customers’ satisfaction and go to market strategies.

You are a hunter driven to seek and develop strong channel partner relationships, self-motivated enjoying the challenge of working independently to drive your territory growth. You’re naturally perseverant, tenacious and consistent in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, organization and time management skills.

Required

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales or Demand Creation, ideally in the Special Hazards fire protection environment.
  • Proficient to manage and influence internal & external stakeholders across different levels.
  • An aptitude to develop, set & execute a sales strategy and rolling sales plans
  • Diligent, determined, results driven, strong sales drive and able to continually critique and enhance performance.
  • Fluent language skills in English
  • Ability to travel
  • Preferred Arabic Speaker
