Are you ready to shape the future of smart buildings? Johnson Controls is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the charge in revolutionizing field devices—the sensors, actuators, and controllers that are the beating heart of HVAC and building automation systems. This position is based in Glendale, WI. Candidates must be commuting distance, or able/willing to relocate.
The Global Product Manager will interface between market needs and engineering execution, will define and drive the product roadmap for a portfolio of intelligent, networked field devices—including sensors, actuators, and controllers—used in HVAC and building automation systems. You will leverage deep domain knowledge and customer insights, and lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through design validation and commercial launch. Your work will enable the deployment of scalable, energy-efficient, and standards-compliant solutions that enhance building performance, occupant comfort, and operational intelligence.
How you will do it
Own the Product Vision & P&L : Define and execute the product strategy for field devices, aligning with market trends, customer needs, and sustainability goals.
Lead New Product Development: Partner with engineering, UX, and manufacturing to bring cutting-edge products to life
Drive Market Success: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities and shape winning value propositions.
Manage the Lifecycle: Oversee the full product lifecycle—launch, growth, maturity, and sunset—with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure successful go-to-market execution and customer satisfaction.

What you will need
Required
BS in Engineering , Business or Marketing
5+ years in Product Management, ideally in HVAC or industrial automation
Experience with agile development, product roadmaps & cross functional leadership
Preferred
MBA
HVAC or industrial automation industry experience
