What will you do?
The Business Intelligence Analyst Jr collects and coordinates business requirements for analytical reporting. Monitors the performance of reports and dashboards, completes data validations, resolves data integrity issues and develops/enhances processes with simplification or automation. Provides BI system user support through training and query resolution to ensure the most effective usage of BI data and Process Automation.
Also acts as an intermediary between the business and IT, partnering with Finance teams to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual designs from which applications and solutions are implemented. The analyst will collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure the delivery of technology solutions that enable business strategies.
Through a strong understanding of both IT and our business, this role will be an advisor to the business, help ensure that IT systems align with business needs and be a champion for IT standards and procedures.
How will you do it?
- Partners process specialists, and users to obtain and document business requirements and convert them into business cases for new projects.
- Provides strategic and analytic support for special projects assigned.
- Evaluates alternate solutions and designs processes and systems which includes user impact considerations, cost and benefit analysis, and processing specifications.
- Uses current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements.
- Performs the design, build, integration, development, testing and deployment of application technology solutions.
- Utilizes industry experience to design and execute features that enhance business processes.
- Provides support for existing applications.
- Provides consultancy services to users and functional areas on Finance systems and related inquiries for new projects or implementations.
- Participates in the analysis of root causes and focuses on creating permanent solutions.
- Provides support (both technical and business focused) for all implementation.
- Report progress on initiatives in a summarized written format.
- Work with cross-functional teams coordinating them to create quality design documents and in developing quality products within the scheduled timeline.
- Participates in design sessions, contributing to the overall design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
- Data skills such as querying databases (SQL) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are a plus.
- Business/conversational English is a must due to the nature of the role.
