What you will do
We are a leading provider of equipment, controls and services for heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and security systems. Join Johnson Controls UK&I Service team, as a HVAC Service Engineer! This is an on-site based role in Capenhurst (CH1 6ER).
As a HVAC Engineer you will be working as a part of a team on site, where you are the primary contact for all technical service issues and regular maintenance work.
How you will do it
As the direct contact with the client, you will be responsible for trouble shooting and resolving heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs. You will carry out system PPM as per contract requirements communicating clearly findings and any further actions required or recommendations for system improvement, upgrades or optimisations.
As an Engineer you will keep the customer informed on the service you are providing. Prepare detailed reports/technical communications on work carried out and submit as required. Health and Safety will be at the forefront of everything you do. Although often working without accompaniment you will be part of a team and contribute towards its success.
What we look for
· Recognised HVAC qualification: NVQ level 2, 3 or equivalent
· Proven HVAC Maintenance experience in the service engineer role within the air conditioning industry
· F-GAS 2079 Cat 1 qualification
· Service & breakdown experience
· Experience with major manufacturers such as Daikin, Hitachi, Toshiba and Mitsubishi Electric
· Experience & knowledge with DX, Split & VRV systems, fan coil units, panel coolers, small chillers and AHUs & ventilation equipment
· Electrical and controls experience to be able to identify and rectify electrical and control issues
· Understands and analyses relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams
· Capable of working without documented procedures and with limited supervision
· A committed can-do positive attitude with the ability to integrate and work as a member of a team, with a keen eye for detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Willing and flexible in approach to working
· A full UK driving license
