Develop, validate and deploy computer models to simulate performance of thermodynamic systems.
Model chillers/heat pumps, their components (compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, motors, VFDs), and systems containing multiple chillers.
Plan and interpret results from physical tests and apply those results to validate and tune simulation models.
Telecommunicating may be permitted.
What we look for
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field, plus 2 years of professional work experience with project work emphasizing the simulation of thermodynamic systems.
Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with:
(1) Computer modeling and simulation techniques for HVAC and refrigeration systems;
(2) Fluid dynamics and heat transfer domain;
(3) Analysis of experimental test results conducted in an engineering laboratory environment;
(4) Validation of computer models using laboratory test data;
(5) Applied thermal system modeling in a professional environment
