OpenBlue CUP is being used by universities, hospitals, airport, office towers, data centers, among other industries, to deliver reliable central utilities most cost effectively.
What you will do
- Responsible for leading the profitable execution of CUP projects globally. Including project delivery, and financial management.
- Manages team to drive the timely execution of these projects and their delegated tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including, but not limited to: hardware design, model collateral collection, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout.
- May have some personal project responsibility depending on the team load. Supports and tracks following standardized JCI project management procedures.
- Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout Trains plant operators and other end users to take full advantage of the OpenBlue CUP software solution and provides technical support during the warranty period.
- Supports and assists CUP operations manager in determining optimum resource levels needed to meet project schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels. This lead will always have their hand on the pulse of every project globally, meeting with the project leads regularly to ensure that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to performance of work.
How you will do it
- Act as the primary OpenBlue CUP leader managing the overall assignment and execution of CUP projects.
- Ensure projects are properly executed, as budgeted, and billed in a timely manner within scope of the contract.
- Occasionally interface with customer/branch/CUP lead System Engineer/Modelling Engineer throughout the project life cycle to gain feedback on customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership by demonstrating focus on exceeding customers’ expectations.
- Partners with CUP Systems Engineers to assess customer/project training requirements. Partners with Learning and Development to lead the development of standard CUP training documentation, materials and delivery as needed.
- Leads a larger team of project owner / managers. As required, manages higher level project schedules, coaches project managers, and assists with managing field escalation issues with local JCI offices or customers.
- Reports to the proper project stakeholders with respect to project allocation, project status reporting, escalation requests, and project escalations.
- Assist with management of post-implementation customer support and generating post-event documentation for the entry into a centralized solutions database.
- Partners with CUP Operations Manager to provide training and product literature feedback and request escalation where required.
Qualifications

Required
- Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent in a technical field or eight years project management field experience in the HVAC industry.
- Experience with basic project accounting or costing principles. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
- Leader with the ability to think strategically.
- Take ownership of issues and are able to move simultaneously between diverse tasks with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
- Communicate well with customers at all levels, both internal and external.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools.
- Proven organizational and time management skills mean you are able to regroup as priorities and objectives change.
- Customer satisfaction is your highest priority.
