Responsibilities and Authorities:
Initiate and respond to contractual issues throughout the contract lifecycle.
Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive project progress reports.
Represent Johnson Controls in client project, quality, and HSE meetings.
Manage formal (letter) and informal (verbal) communication with clients.
Oversee invoicing processes and collection of payments from clients.
Develop a thorough understanding and experience of all technical systems.
Prepare technical submittals and submit them to clients.
Ensure the production and issuance of design drawings and calculations.
Prepare and comply with the project quality plan and Inspection & Test Plans.
Ensure full compliance of the project with specifications and client requirements.
Assume full responsibility for cost management of the projects.
Prepare and submit monthly cost reports to senior management for review.
Initiate change processes to manage variations to the contract.
Follow the project to completion and ensure final payment is received.
Responsible for the production of a fully resourced program in line with the contract agreement.
Ensure key milestone dates are met; develop plans to address delays to bring the project back on track.
Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete the project on time.
Request resources within the budgeted allowance.
Liaise with staff from other projects to ensure efficient use of company resources.
Develop and train allocated staff.
Be conversant with company and client QHSE policies/procedures and ensure operatives understand and implement them in their areas of responsibility.
Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of Quality and HSE.
Review and submit project handover documents to clients.
Prepare and submit project completion feedback reports to the sales department.
Monitor the progress of sub-contracted works, where applicable.
Ensure all applicable QHSE documents are readily available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents at the site.
Ensure complete project data/records are archived after project completion and forwarded to the IS department for effective archiving.
Ensure non-conformities in materials/products are addressed in accordance with applicable management system procedures and appropriate corrective/preventive actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
Ensure necessary inspections and tests of products are performed, and inspection & test records are maintained prior to handover to customers.
Education & Experience:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical project management in Fire Protection / Fire Detection.
Experience in the U.A.E market with exposure to Oil and Gas sector clients.
