What You Will Do

At Johnson Controls in Aarhus, Denmark, we are looking for a Field Service Team Leader to join our Global Marine & Offshore Service team. You will be responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating the activities of a front-line delivery team (e.g., technicians) to ensure quality service, pull-through, and flawless execution of contractual obligations. You will lead a team of 14 technicians working remotely on sites globally. You will work from our office in Aarhus and report to our Service Manager.

We can offer you an exciting role in a global business that operates through entities located around the world, ensuring a global reach that allows us to support our customers with on-the-spot assistance when their vessels are in service. Johnson Controls Marine & Navy is one of the most successful marine HVAC/R and Fire Security companies in the industry, both today and through our legacy. Our Danish business is a leading supplier of HVAC/R equipment for the Marine segment.

How You Will Do It

  • Build a climate that energizes team members to ensure, in collaboration with project managers, that assigned contracts or projects are completed.
  • In collaboration with project managers, be responsible for execution in compliance with contractual obligations (accurate, on-time, billed, within budget & scope of contract) and applicable legal requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by reviewing and interpreting customer requirements, contract terms, and conditions.
  • Assist with site coordination tasks to ensure high productivity and cost efficiency in execution. This includes representing Johnson Controls at site coordination meetings, determining appropriate staffing levels and resources, coordinating subcontractors, project administration, contract resolution, etc.
  • Drive identification of sales leads, pull-through, and change orders through the front-line delivery team.
  • Together with the project managers, contribute to estimate completion and reviews, and handle follow-up of pull-through orders. You will be tasked with goals for gross margin delivery, utilization and profitability.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain front-line delivery teams to maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Ensure front-line delivery teams are trained and updated on safety standards and safety equipment. Champion a safety culture in work execution.
  • Provide technical support and coaching.

What We Look For

  • Technically oriented education - Bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering, or similar industries.
  • Skilled in technical problem solving
  • Excellent coordination skills.
  • People management experience in a service environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC & refrigeration and/or fire and security solutions.
  • Experience from the marine and offshore industry is an advantage.
  • A team player who wants to work on changing attitudes.
  • Personal clout and effective communication skills.

What We Offer

  • Attractive salary package, optional benefits program, and health insurance.
  • 10% pension contribution.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Opportunities for education, internal leadership programs, and various career paths (including access to 5,000 e-learning programs).
  • Generous maternity/paternity benefits and support for parents with young children.
  • Access to a good canteen and exercise facilities.
  • Well-established employee associations and social events.
  • Employment in a growth-oriented company with a history spanning over 130 years.

As a Field Service Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to improve and develop an important business area while strengthening your professional development.
