What you will do:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will employ their foundational IT experience, complemented by growing security knowledge, to support the project delivery team in the project implementation as per customer cybersecurity compliance requirement . Perform system hardening and software patching .

How you will do it:

  • Attending post sales meetings and meeting the client
  • Determining a client's business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable. Decide whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client's needs
  • Work closely with network systems manufacturers like CISCO, HP, Juniper etc. as well as network SIs for system ICT system design, configuration and sourcing 
  • Champion IT related project and development methodologies and act as a guide and reference for other staff members.
  • Establish quality standards, checkpoints, and communications processes to ensure project quality.
  • Read technical journals, manuals and materials provided by vendors to learn about systems capabilities.
  • Maintain an awareness of industry and market best practices to generate ideas for ongoing systems improvements.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for an IT Infrastructure specializing in network engineering to give perspective and set expectations for projects in the areas of scope and giving time estimates for work needed for project completion. 
  • Capable for designs/architectures, including, but not limited to, campus LAN and/or WLAN switching, WAN design, and other IP centric solutions. 
  • Capable for designs/architect Clouds computing and Network Security solutions.
  • Responsible for setting up routers, switches, and devices in accordance to design specification, assigning IP addresses and configuring routing protocols and establishing access controls
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to track down root cause problems on the network
  • Implement security measures, system hardening , monitor and optimize network performance
  • Plan for disaster recovery to minimize downtime and data loss

What we look for:

  • Degree in Engineering (preferred Electrical/Electronics Engineering with computer option) or Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other related disciplines with good engineering knowledge 
  • Possesses strong analytical, organizational and technical writing skills
  • Good leadership and communication skills and able to work independently and with all levels of staff
  • Good in Strategic Planning, Excellent Communication and Sales Negotiation Skills
  • Ability to take on pressure and work in a highly- challenging environment
  • Experience in RFP, ITQ or other tenders requirements, participation in Tenders, Projects Implementations
  • Able to work out or experience in BOM requirements, Equipment Normalization, Contract Agreement, Compliance.
  • Close coordination and well liaise with Principles vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, HDS, EMC etc
  • Strong knowledge on Products, Features, Business Requirements such as HP Blades, EMC San Storage, VM ware, Veem, HDS, Cisco, Sidewinder, Checkpoint, F5, etc
  • Deep understanding of the IT and  gov tech compliance.
  • Have experience to support complex production environment like – SAP, Database, Different Application.  
  • Have experience to work with Dell/HP/Oracle/IBM hardware
  • Have experience to support different Firewalls, Routers and Switches like Cisco, Nortel and HP, etc
  • Have experience in Virtualization product

Desired Certifications (not mandatory but a plus)

  • CompTIA Security+
  • GISF, GSEC
  • CISSP, CISM
  • Server Platform Certifications (Microsoft, Linux)
  • And other foundational certifications related to cybersecurity or networks
