What you will do
The Inspection Manager shall oversee Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors for Johnson Controls.
How you will do it
Oversee Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors’ day-to-day tasks, recommend new hires & promotions; provide ongoing employee training & participate in performance evaluations.
Maintain complete understanding of Company policies and review with inspectors to promote understanding and compliance daily.
Consistently reinforce the message of “World Class Service Provider” and ensure delivery of customer service. Ensure that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives in a professional, timely, and quality manner.
Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude to all internal and external customers; actively participate in quickly resolving customer issues.
Work with Inspections Coordinators on scheduling and reviewing deficiency inspection reports.
Ensure delivery matches contractual obligations; prepare past-due projections; know the weekly/monthly revenue/margin goals and consistently maximize productivity of assigned field personnel.
Meet with customers and inspectors monthly to ensure delivery of quality inspections and overall customer satisfaction.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications - External
What we look for
5 or more years of Management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
3 or more years of experience in the fire protection/life safety industry.
Understanding of P&L and the ability to oversee Sales activities.
Demonstrated leadership with effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office as well as online systems; knowledge of Oracle & maintenance scheduling systems a plus.
Knowledge of applicable fire regulations and codes, e.g., OFC, ULC, etc., required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and able to learn quickly.
Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Be able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State, and Local Codes.
NICET certification preferred.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,100. - $104,500. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
