What we look for

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager, Solution and Campaign Marketing to join our dynamic Smart Buildings Marketing squad. Working in a small team of solution marketers, each focused on distinct industry verticals. You will lead the development and execution of integrated customer value marketing and campaigns for assigned business and product units, driving awareness, engagement, and demand across targeted industries. 

 

This role requires a seasoned marketer with a strong grasp of campaign strategy, solution positioning, and cross-functional collaboration. You will manage internal and external resources to deliver high-impact marketing assets and experiences that support business objectives and elevate our brand presence. 

How will you do it

Solution marketing strategy with target personas and customer centricity 

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to assigned industry verticals. 

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, buying behaviors, market trends, and competitive dynamics. 

  • Define and refine target personas to ensure messaging and programs are customer-centric and resonate with decision-makers and influencers. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product Management, Sales, and Customer Support—to align marketing efforts with business objectives and customer expectations. 

  • Engage with customers and gather feedback to continuously improve product offerings and marketing strategies. 

 

Drive development of differentiated customer value propositions 

  • Create compelling customer messaging that clearly articulates Johnson Controls’ unique value and solutions to target personas.  

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, benefit-driven narratives that address customer pain points and business outcomes. 

  • Ensure consistency and clarity of value propositions across all marketing channels and touchpoints. 

  • Support sales enablement by developing tools and training that reinforce the differentiated value of our solutions. 

 

 Develop integrated marketing campaigns 

  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans, including product launches, promotional campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives. 

  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver high-impact marketing programs and assets across channels, including collateral, advertising, tradeshows, digital content, public relations, and internal communications. 

  • Track and analyze lead generation performance across campaigns, identifying conversion bottlenecks and optimizing tactics to improve marketing-qualified and sales-qualified lead flow. 

  • Collaborate with Sales and CRM teams to ensure seamless lead handoff, monitor pipeline progression, and refine campaign strategies based on conversion insights and closed-loop feedback. 

 

What we look for

Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in industrial, technology, or building solutions sectors. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Previous experience in solution and product marketing 

  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM software. 

 

Preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. MBA is a plus. 

  • Experience in vertical marketing or industry-specific campaign development. 

  • Familiarity with HVAC, energy, automation, or smart building technologies.
