Run Tester

$20.0/h + $1.25 shift differential

What You’ll Do:   

• Check refrigeration units under actual operation against performance requirements.  

• Read and understand Operational Method sheets (OMS) job instructions.  

• Sets refrigeration units for operation and operates unit until stabilized and/or do troubleshooting when problems arise.  

• Sets up testing equipment as necessary and makes a variety of predetermined checks such as compressor performance, high and low pressure cut outs, dry bulb temperatures and static pressures.  

• Checks and tests component parts and subassemblies per Operational Method sheets OMS specifications using hand tools and computer systems.  

• Makes out required reports and tags, such as rejection tags and check off lists, determines causes for and reports abnormal quality conditions.  

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, extreme heat and outside weather conditions.  

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  

• Follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.  

• Work from written and oral instructions, prints or sketches.    

What We Look For:  

• 3-6 months of inspecting production or machine operator experience minimum.  

• Basic computer skills.  

• Great verbal and written communications skills.  

• Attention to detail.  

• Mechanical aptitude.  

• Vision corrected to 20/20.   

Physical Requirements:  

• Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more).  

• Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).  

• Capability to work in various industrial conditions (e.g., noise, heat, etc.)
