What you will do:
- Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage control components.
- Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, as well as hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.
- Provide front-line technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.
- Provide system repair and update recommendations and assist in proposing solutions to Johnson Controls customers.

- Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related issues. As a trusted advisor, deliver solutions and outcomes during service calls.
How you will do it:
- Load Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software.
- Perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators), completing all required commissioning documentation.
- Keep management and JCI contractors or customers informed of job progress and issues.
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
- Participate in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain the highest level of knowledge and capability.
- Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs.
- Communicate with JCI contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, maintaining a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
- Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for:
Required:
- Vocational school (four-year program) or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field, plus three years of industry experience; or
- 1-2 years of experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
- Good knowledge of personal computers.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Willingness and availability to undergo training sessions, approximately 2-3 times per week, 4 hours per session.
