What you will do
The Senior Service Technician – HVAC Marine is a key role reporting directly to the Service Manager and will be based in Dubai. The Marine Service team carry out design, commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of very complex systems under time constraints and in accordance with defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs.
As a member of this team, you will work within a dynamic environment that provides a platform for you to develop your technical and project management skills.
How you will do it
As an experienced technician you will be using your technical understanding of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, controls, and other relevant topics in the maritime and offshore HVAC sector to provide technical support to both technicians and customers throughout a larger geographic area. As a Senior Service technician you will be primary contact for all the technical installation and/or servicing issues on-site. You will be responsible to support clients for complex requests and calls as they are received.
As an experienced Senior Service technician you will develop excellent customer relationships along with providing proactive feedback and documentation on the status of the customer's equipment and systems, as well as work done and will lead project while on-site, mentoring less-experienced members of the service team technically and organizing on-site work activities for complex, multi-person tasks.
You will be accountable for the diagnosis and repair of system problems, which necessitates specific technical expertise, required certifications, and an understanding of time and material constraints.
As a Senior Service Technician you provide customers and operational management with high-level technical support and guidance. When necessary, seek clarifications and technical assistance from the relevant engineering team, which helps to fix the issues that arise. You will make sure that the Installation, start-up, and commission systems in compliance with established guidelines, procedures, and standards.
You will be also accountable for advising your customer of the type of service rendered, and any unresolved problems, suggests upgrades, replacements, or enhancements to the system, and encourages the sale of change orders and/or further labor and material work (L&M) and provide any trainings on system functioning. You will Concisely document everything that was done and submit the service reports promptly.
