What you will do

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include leading and/or participating on projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality.

How you will do it

  • Processing engineering change requests.

  • Trouble-shooting production problems.

  • Assist in trouble-shooting assembly equipment.

  • Optimizing workstation layout.

  • Justifying, specifying, and installing equipment.

  • Introducing new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with Design Engineering on Production Issues related to Design for Manufacturing).

  • Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).

  • Supporting and/or leading Lean projects.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / industrial engineering – Mandatory

  • Equipment justification (Capital request), specification, and installation (project management). Ergonomic principles.

  • Fabrication processes including assembly, coils, copper, and sheet metal manufacturing.

  • Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design, layouts…).

  • Machine design (oversee fixture & equipment design, fabrication, and installation).

  • Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline.

  • HVAC training or experience a plus.

  • Presentations, teamwork, and coaching for optimal performance.

  • Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
