What you will do:

The Account Executive is responsible for promoting and selling Johnson Controls Security services and technology. A key for success in this role is leveraging relationships and securing new business for Johnson Controls. You will execute these objectives while partnering with the sales manager of your office and managing your assigned territory of existing customers. You will be trained in an industry leading program with assistance from factory representatives from various manufacturers. You will be provided with system design tools and periodic sales and product training.

How you will do it:  

  • Adhere to current Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, and programs 
  • Create new market share by selling Johnson Controls Security products and services to new and existing commercial customers within provided territory
  • Responsible for converting existing systems to new business ownership as needed
  • Independently establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies
  • Consistently apply time and territory management techniques
  • Responsible for follow up with all prospects, whether existing customer, referrals, leads, or cold calls to grow your business
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of product line, services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training and reading/research
  • Be a single point of contact and communication for your customer; directing all billing, service, and future product needs

What we look for:  

Required 

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives within the customer and Johnson Controls Security organizations 
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule  
  • Available for local travel 
  • Must be able to pass MVR inspection

Preferred  

  • College degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT or other technology sales industry, demonstrated by the consistent ability to meet and exceed quota
