What you will do
The Security Inside Sales Representative’s goal is to reach out to customers via phone and email to sell additional products and services to our whitespace/non-JCI Security customers as well as our existing JCI Security customer base. The team’s goal is to add value to our customers and help grow our recurring revenue base.
The Inside Sales Representative will report directly to the Inside Sales Manager, who reports within the Security domain of Johnson Controls. This strategic position will work with the larger team to generate revenue by co-selling with the Territory Sales Team, as well as directly upselling products and services targeted to close. As a member of this team, you will work in a dynamic environment that collaborates with our existing sales organization on both local and national levels.
You will be responsible for achieving established goals related to activity and proposal volume associated with programs/promotional campaigns our Sales Organization is promoting. You will work internally originated and customer-generated leads, proactively contact onsite points of contact, propose a solution, close the deal or co-sell with an outside seller, and facilitate the sales process through to close.

As a Security Inside Sales Representative, you will be empowered to work the leads associated with our various programs and make decisions on the best way to engage customers. You will manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You are customer-focused and will need to be understanding, patient, and empathetic to our customers’ needs. You also understand that internal and external collaboration drives success and best practices.
