Advance Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do

At Johnson Controls – Hitachi, every step we take in manufacturing is a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. Joining our team as a Advance Manufacturing Engineer means becoming part of an environment where every improvement matters and every contribution counts.

From day one, you’ll collaborate in the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes for new products and projects. You’ll analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities, contribute to production optimization, and take part in the validation of solutions that will be applied directly on the shop floor. You’ll learn alongside experienced professionals, get involved in key initiatives, and help ensure that every process meets the highest technical specifications and regulatory standards.

Location: Vacarisses Plant, Barcelona.

How you will do it

  • Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products and projects.
  • Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Ensure that processes comply with current technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Contribute to the reduction of cycle times, waste, and operational costs.
  • Collaborate in the planning and execution of new product introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Coordinate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure technical and operational feasibility.
  • Support pilot testing and process validation prior to full-scale implementation in the plant.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, including manuals, work instructions, and validation reports.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is a plus, particularly with complex projects involving press machines, heat exchangers, piping systems, plastic injection, or similar machinery.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
