JCI Industrial Distribution Intern Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated industrial distribution intern to support our distribution and order fulfillment operations at the Johnson Controls – Baltimore Parts Center. Candidate will develop skills in order fulfillment, logistics management, inventory control, and industrial safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the operations supervisor in the day-to-day fulfillment operations at the Baltimore Parts Center which may include logistics coordination, inventory control, discrepancy reporting, and fulfillment management
• Prepare and analyze data to monitor KPI’s and develop reports for executives and managers
• Participate in cross functional projects to hone skills in operations, supply chain, and quality
• Assist facility leadership in process improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
   

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree
• Interest in industrial distribution, operations management, logistics, or supply chain
• Basic understanding of distribution center operations
• Experience with Excel
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (cherry picker & forklift)
