What you will do:
The Procurement buyer is responsible for project spend for APAC region. Responsibilities include supplier scouting, selection, supplier management, price & contract negotiations, drive product optimization and working capital management. The buyer will develop and execute a category strategy that supports the company’s profitable growth plans. He or she will be the primary owner of cost savings and working capital improvements.

How you will do it:

• Drive year-over-year improvement in field material spend through supplier negotiation.

• Drive year-over-year improvement in working capital through supplier payment term management.

• Develop field material category strategy by category cluster, implement category strategy in sourcing decision of field projects.

• Supplier account management for selection of suppliers. Develop strategies to effectively manage and optimize the supply base.

• Manage supplier performance and organize regular business reviews with suppliers of responsibility.

• Negotiation and maintenance of contracts and supply conditions.

• Insights to supply base market intelligence & dynamics, scouting new suppliers to support the business growth.

• Deploy a global preferred supplier strategy to improve supplier quality, delivery and cost.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or related Business Degree.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in sourcing/procurement experience with Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical or Automation related Industries
  • Experiences in project procurement , good to have experiences on procurement ELECTRICALs, Controls or Control Panels, HVAC commodities
  • Understand manufacturing process, eg, casting parts, plastic injections, sheet metal fabrications etc.  

  • Excellent negotiation skills, being able to build a compelling case and convince others; familiar with contracting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related business discipline.
  • 3+ years of end‑to‑end sourcing/procurement experience in Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, or Automation industries, with proven project‑based procurement delivery across APAC (e.g., SEA, Australia, Japan).
  • Hands‑on project procurement experience for Electricals, Controls/Control Panels, and HVAC commodities, including vendor onboarding and pre‑bid cost reviews.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, plastic injection molding, sheet‑metal fabrication, machining) and cost structures for E&E components.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to build compelling business cases; familiarity with contracting and T&Cs.

  • Strong business acumen in E&E cost structures; capable of cost modeling (TCO/should‑cost) and supplier performance analytics.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms (e.g., FCA, EXW, DDP).
  • Proven experience building category strategies—from ideation through cross‑functional execution.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with MS Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query); familiarity with Power BI.
  • Experience conducting competitive bidding via e‑auctions; proficiency with procurement platforms (PR‑to‑PO), able to expedite PR execution and secure on‑time PO/delivery under tight schedules.
