Legal Counsel / In-house lawyer (m/f/d)

What you will do

Support shaping a secure and sustainable future in our legal team! We are looking to strengthen our team as soon as possible with a legal counsel / In-house Lawyer (f/m/d) in Düsseldorf.

In this exciting, challenging and versatile position you will act as a strong business partner, and, as part of the European and global legal team, actively shape the transformation and thus contribute personally to the success of the company.

How you will do it

  • You will independently support business units, expert departments and management in all legal issues, with a focus on contract law, construction law and digitalization / software / IP law.
  • You independently propose practical solutions to minimize legal risks and initiate improvements.
  • You conduct trainings for employees.
  • You accompany and coordinate disputes and court proceedings in cooperation with external lawyers.
  • You work closely with the European and global legal team and other functions of a worldwide matrix organization on strategic initiatives, transformation processes and cross-regional issues.

What we look for

  • Qualified German lawyer (1st and 2nd state examinations); additional foreign studies (e.g. LL.M.) are an advantage
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in an international industrial company.
  • Legal generalist with business accumen and a strong understanding of project business, international matrix structures, process and business workflows of an international company.
  • Strong knowledge of contract and construction law.
  • Ability, interest and willingness to act as a business partner to quickly and efficiently find pragmatic, business-oriented solutions and to assume responsibility for the success of the company.
  • Excellent communication skills and cooperative working style.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills advantageous.
  • Experience in commercial contract and claim management as well as legal tech solutions advantageous.
