We are currently seeking an IT and Development Engineer to design, implement, and manage computer applications and systems that support organizational processes and drive efficiency.

What will you do? The IT and Development Engineer is responsible for developing applications based on business needs, managing servers, and supporting users while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and confidentiality requirements. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to maintain system integrity and foster organizational health.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Application Development & Management

  • Develop computer applications that solve or facilitate productive, storage, administrative, and other organizational processes.

  • Design and implement solutions aligned with business needs.

  • Write and maintain operating procedures and system documentation.

Server & Database Administration

  • Install and manage SQL Server.

  • Manage web servers (IIS).

  • Ensure confidentiality and security of managed information.

User Support & Training

  • Provide user support and troubleshoot application-related issues.

  • Train users on system functionality and best practices.

Compliance & Standards

  • Comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental Standards.

  • Follow Johnson Controls Manufacturing System Guidelines (JCMS).

  • Fulfill the role of HPT facilitator when applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Management System.

Leadership & Organizational Health

  • Evaluate direct staff at least once a year and establish action plans.

  • Promote organizational health and a positive work environment.

  • Participate in onboarding and integration of new staff.

  • Supervise time and attendance management in KRONOS.

  • Comply with local and corporate training programs.

Prevention & Safety Authority

  • Suspend work in situations of serious and imminent risk, informing superiors immediately.

  • Plan, organize, and enforce prevention procedures within area of responsibility.

  • Correct anomalies or unsafe acts and communicate issues outside of scope.

  • Assign and delimit prevention functions for personnel under charge.

How will you do it?

  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Java, and SQL.

  • Manage SQL databases and IIS web services.

  • Provide proactive support and training to users.

  • Lead teams with motivation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls codes of ethics and operational standards.

  • Execute multiple projects simultaneously with strong planning and organizational skills.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Electromechanics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Expert Full Stack Developer with proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Java, SQL Server, IIS, and Microsoft Visual Studio Suite.

  • Advanced SQL language skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database/inventory/order processing software.

  • Ability to work across Windows, iOS, and Linux systems.

  • Strong analytical, proactive, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

  • Intermediate English proficiency.
