As the Consultant Sales Manager for Applied products, you will be responsible for driving the specifications of Johnson Controls’ HVAC solutions with MEP consultants, developers, and key stakeholders across South Africa & Sub Shara region. Your focus will be on our HVAC product portfolio — specifically Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) — ensuring these solutions are positioned and specified in major projects within the region.
You may be based in anywhere in South Africa, working closely with our South Africa team to expand our footprint, strengthen consultant engagement, and support our long‑term growth strategy in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
You will be accountable for securing specifications for our Chillers and Airside products with consultants, clients, and contractors, while also supporting the broader team with value engineering, basis‑of‑design development, and technical training on HVAC equipment.
As part of the organization, you will operate in a dynamic, collaborative environment that enables you to leverage your technical expertise and commercial insight to deliver on our business objectives.
How you will do it
In this role, you will use your strong technical background in Chillers, AHUs, and FCUs to influence consultant designs and ensure Johnson Controls solutions are included in project specifications. You will conduct technical presentations, product trainings, and seminars for consultants, end users, and industry partners.
You are self‑driven, proactive, and skilled at developing long‑term customer relationships. You bring strong analytical thinking, perseverance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities through excellent planning, organization, and time‑management skills.
